The Oxford Medical College Hospital and Research Centre has 695 teaching beds and 75 non-teaching beds (Including Emergency and ICU) of different specialties

Standard of Service:

TOMCH&RC provides medical care facilities to all patients who come to the hospital and free hygienic food facilities to indoor patients.

Hospital runs five other centres which cater to the population in the nearby villages.

  1. Urban Training centre is in Ballur, Bangalore
  2. Rural Training Centre is in Muttanalluru.

There are about 250 doctors (including faculty members, Senior Residents and Junior Residents), 375 Nursing staff and around 360 supporting staff.

Reception is located at the entrance of the hospital.

Different sign boards, directional signs are fitted at the strategic points for guidance of the public.

The duty roasters of the faculty and resident doctors are displayed on the notice boards of all the departments.

Enquiry and Reception counter function (24x7) round the clock at Casualty and Emergency.

The staff members from the Medical Records Section provide patient related information and also prepare the Medical Record (OPD Cards / Admission Case Sheets) and statistics related to the hospital services.

Emergency and Casualty Services:

Accident, Trauma, Medical and Surgical Emergencies works round the clock all days. Emergency cases will be attended promptly.

An officer in Charge of Casualty works round the clock.

Anyone with urgent Medical Problem can have consultation / treatments in the casualty are attended by Casualty Medical officer.

In addition to the Casualty Medical Officers, Casualty has dedicated team of doctors from major specialties of General Medicine, General Surgery, Orthopaedics, Paediatrics, and OBG. There are dedicated Resident Doctors and nursing staffs to provide urgent medical services.

INDOOR SERVICES:

  • The bed charges are free for the indoor patients for teaching beds.
  • ICU, NICU, PICU, SICU, ICCU, Labour Rooms, are equipped with modern gadgets and devices like ventilators, monitors, defibrillators, Incubilators, etc, to provide excellent medical care.
  • Operation Theatres: The Hospital has fully equipped, modern operation theatres where all kinds of Major and minor surgeries are performed using the latest technology.
  • Routine Surgeries are done as per list maintained by the respective departments.
  • Canteen facility is also available
  • Hospital has generator backup.

RESPONSIBILITIES OF USERS:

  • Visitors are allowed only during visiting hours.
  • The success of the charter depends on the support we receive from our users.
  • Try to appreciate the various constraints under which the hospital is functioning.
  • A larger number of patients attend the OPD daily number of patients seeking casualty/emergency medical care daily are also more.
  • Follow the rules and regulations of the hospital while inside the hospital campus.
  • Do not cause inconvenience to other patients by crowding or making noise unnecessarily.
  • Help us in keeping the hospital and its surroundings neat and clean.
  • Do not argue with security guards, show your passes when asked for and help maintain the order and peace inside the hospital premises.
  • Use the facilities of this hospital with care and do not damage/ spoil hospital property.
  • Do not indulge in any money transactions with touts and unauthorized persons.
  • The hospital is a NO SMOKING ZONE. Please do not smoke in the hospital.
  • Provide useful feedback and constructive suggestions. These may be addressed to the Medical Superintendent of the Hospital.
  • Patients should park their vehicle in the parking area only.
